1. Who we are
Horizon ESG provides ESG and sustainability reporting software. This notice explains what personal information we collect through our website at horizonesg.global, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Horizon ESG is a trading name of AIS Consulting UK Ltd, which is the data controller for the information described here. AIS Consulting UK Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 04285526, with its registered office at Metal Box Factory, 30 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0HS.

2. Information you give us directly
Most of the personal information we hold is information you have chosen to send us through a form on this site.

You do not have to give us any of this information. If you do not, we will not be able to arrange a demo or answer your enquiry.
If you are a business contact and we later send you information about our products by email, we rely on our legitimate interest in marketing to business customers. You can tell us to stop at any time, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
3. Information we collect automatically
Whenever anyone visits this website, our hosting platform records technical information about the request, including the IP address it came from, the page requested, the referring page, and basic browser and device details. We use this to keep the site secure and working properly, and to understand overall traffic levels. We do not use it to build a profile of you as an individual, and it does not depend on cookies.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing our website.
4. Cookies and website analytics
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. This site uses very few of them, and none for advertising.
Cookies the site needs in order to work
The WordPress.com platform that hosts this site sets a small number of cookies for security and basic functionality. These are set on every visit, because the site cannot operate without them.
How we measure use of the site
We use Plausible Analytics to produce statistics about how this website is used: which pages people read, how visitors arrive, which content is useful, and where the site is not working well. We use this to decide what to write and build next.
We run Plausible ourselves, on our own server in Germany, at insights.horizonesg.global. It is not a third-party analytics service, nobody else receives the data, and it is not used for advertising. It sets no cookies at all and does not create a profile of you or follow you to other websites. The statistics it produces are counts and totals, not records about individuals.
We removed Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats from this site on 4 August 2026. Google Analytics also placed cookies lasting up to 400 days and shared data with Google for its own purposes. Neither runs here any more.
UK law on storing information on your device changed on 5 February 2026, when Schedule A1 to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations came into force. It permits a website to collect statistics about how it is used, without asking for consent first, where the sole purpose is to produce those statistics in order to improve the service, the information is not shared with anyone else for other purposes, visitors are given clear and comprehensive information, and visitors have a simple and free way to object. We rely on that basis. This section is the clear information it requires, and the button below is the means of objecting.
How to opt out
There is no cookie banner on this site, because nothing here needs your consent. If you would still rather we did not count your visits, use this button. It takes effect immediately, costs nothing, and asks you for nothing.

5. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do share it with the service providers who help us run the website and respond to you.

These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own separate purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States, so your information may be transferred and stored there. Where information leaves the UK it must be protected by one of the safeguards UK data protection law recognises, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Agreement. If you would like to know which applies to a particular provider, email us and we will tell you.
6. How long we keep it

When a retention period ends we delete the information.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your information, in most circumstances
- Restrict how we use it
- Object to processing we base on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time and without qualification
- Receive your information in a portable format that you can take elsewhere
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it
To exercise any of these, email info@horizonesg.global. We will respond within one month. We will not charge you, and we will not ask you why.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we have the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
8. Changes to this notice
We will update this page whenever our practices change, and we will revise the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you to check this page.
